Serving & Reaching Out to Others
S.O.K.
(Saving Our Kids)
PRMPC partners with non-profits to provide mentorship, tutoring and fellowship to address the many challenges facing our children today.
It is disheartening that kids are consumed with so many challenges today. These challenges are not simple and affects all ages. A lot of the issues stem from systematic matters, and as a society we need to imagine different ways to steer our kids the right way. There was a time when kids didn’t have to worry about how they would eat or where they would sleep, but now, for many, this is no longer a reality. There was a time when kids appreciated the small things that their parents did for them, but now, for many, this is no longer true. The weight of the world has been placed on their shoulders and it has directly influenced their lifestyle. Many kids today also struggle with having parents who are imprisoned. As a church, we are committed to serving this population by offering mentorship, tutorials, and fellowship. We also partner with non-profit organizations that work with this population.

College students struggle each semester with financial and various other needs that stem from a lack of community, especially if they are not local students. Our church is taking an active role in relieving this burden by providing resources for local college students. We are intentional about building and sustaining relationships with college students and helping meet their needs. Our goal is to connect students with Bridge members to develop a form of mentorship relationship.

Homelessness has, and continues to be, a major worldwide issue. We often take for granted our status and blessings that we consider as mere conveniences, while entire populations of homeless individuals view our living conditions as luxuries. We are called to be caring to those who are homeless
and work towards ending homelessness, beginning with our community. We are better serving this community by providing consistent meals, shelter, and clothing with the help of the greater Wilmington community. One way we do this by creating blessing bags that are delivered to this population.

Project Give
(Community Care)

Project Give is an initiative in which a struggling community is given access to basic necessities by leaning on each other. Community members will have access to a community pantry to help meet the needs of their families. The only catch is that when they are in position to give back, they must be willing to give. Prayerfully, the community will come together to make sure that the needs of it's members are being met. Each quarter we sponsor a food and clothing drive to distribute to those who are in need. Another component of Project Give emphasizes the cleanliness of the community. Once a month the community will come together to do a massive sweep in hopes of maintaining and clean and healthy environment for all people.
